Thanks for the memories...
and thanks for all the birthday love yesterday! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who remembers the 70's so clearly. Sometime, I'll have to try to do this for the 80's, because let me tell you, those were hysterical years.
I had a pretty nice day yesterday, and actually, the birthday celebrating started pretty much on Saturday with dinner out with friends, Sunday was another dinner out with my best girlfriends and a movie (Notes on a Scandal - whoa. Anyone see? Disturbing on many levels; but Judy Dench and Cate Blanchett are superb), and dinner with my family last night. I think I might have to cook again tonight, but, oh well!
I spent the weekend cleaning the studio, because yesterday I had the wonderful privilege of being interviewed for our local paper, complete with photographer! Who, walked into my newly cleaned studio and exclaimed, "You cleaned it. Why do people always clean up? I want to photograph the mess!"
Um, no, you don't actually. So he made me rearrange everything I had staged ("don't stage, just shoot"), and put me to work cutting out (which was good, because I can always be working, right?). I have no idea how those photographs will turn out because I was full of nervous chatter, and I'm sure each and every photo has me with my mouth open or contorted in some expression. So then I spent the better part of the rest of the day going over each thing I said in my mind, and wondering and worrying about how it will look in print! Oh well - I have complete trust in you Shanna! Make it pretty!
How did I miss that? Happy belated Birthday!!! It sounds wonderful, as it should be.
Congrats on the interview, that's pretty exciting. You'll have to scan the photos/article when they come out.
