Los Angeles Weddings - Launch Party!
I had the most unbelieveable, unique experience last night! My friend Ronna (who co-owns the gift bag company It's In The Bag, Inc., and for whom I made the VIP gift bags I went on endlessly about) surprised me with an invitation to the actual Launch Party! At first I said no, as I would be going into West Hollywood two nights in a row (I had another event the prior evening), but after Scott talked some sense into me (more like, "Are you nuts? You have to go!") I went.
Ronna & Gaye of It's In The Bag, Inc. and me.
It was a glimpse into a lifestyle and world I am so far removed from, but, now I know, everything I read, is true! Beautiful people...EVERYWHERE! I met some incredible women and designers, and my little summary of the evening here does not do it one ounce of justice. But I'll try!
The evening was hosted by Kathy Nenneker, Editor-in-chief of Los Angeles Weddings (Los Angeles Weddings is a twice yearly special edition, sister publication to the acclaimed Los Angeles Magazine). She was incredibly gracious and nice, and it was a complete honor to meet her.
The whole evening was in honor of the cover fashion designer Elizabeth Fillmore, who I also met and was so humbled to be talking about design and inspiration with!
She was lovely and forthright and unbelievably down to earth.
There was running fashion show video of her wedding gowns, and they are the most beautiful creations I've ever seen - simple and organic, with such beautiful style.
The owner of R-mine Bridal Company, I unfortunately cannot recall her name, but she too, was lovely to talk to.
Of course I had to take a picture of the candy bar - my eyes were popping! You were able to fill little chinese take out containers with scrumptious sweets!
Mine was nearly overflowing...
The entire evening was one of those Cinderella experiences - a view into something that is so foreign to me, but fascinating nonetheless. Great peoplewatching (well, of course there was), in a gorgeous venue (Les Deux, West Hollywood - wow!). It was really a dream evening!
Be careful what you say today, I'm balancing on a cloud...

Wow! It sounds awesome! I think I'd feel like a fish out of water at something like that, but I'd still love to go. Lucky you!!
